Therapy is about having a space to untangle what’s going on for you. You may feel distressed, but unsure of what is troubling you. Perhaps you’re aware that an event or events in your life have caused you suffering, and you are struggling to move forward. Or you may just be looking for somewhere you can offload and be heard.
Whatever you bring, together we can find meaning and understanding by building a relationship of trust and safety. I will work with you to provide a space where you feel safe and supported to heal, grow and flourish. No matter what you’ve experienced or are feeling there is hope and potential to lead a positive and fulfilling life.

My Practice & Experience

My practice is rooted in person-centred theory, meaning I will be led by you, and I will provide an environment that is based on compassion, acceptance and honesty. I draw from other theories, including but not exclusive to, psychodynamic (past relationships & patterns) and gestalt (the here & now). My work is trauma informed, practicing gently and safely to avoid causing any further harm. I sometimes use creativity and grounding techniques. An integrated approach allows me to tailor therapy to your needs.
I am a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, with a Masters in Counselling & Psychotherapy. I have worked in charities across Bristol for over a decade, supporting young people and adults from a range of different backgrounds, with various mental health concerns, problematic drug and alcohol use and those at risk of or experiencing homelessness. I have worked therapeutically with survivors of sexual abuse.
I am a member of the BACP and adhere to their ethical framework. This includes a commitment to ongoing training and development, which enables me to continuously improve my offer of support and grow alongside my clients.
Sessions
Therapy sessions last 50 minutes and cost £60 per session. I offer sessions to adults (18+) in person (BS1) and online (zoom/google meet). How long we work together will ultimately be up to you. I offer short term and long term work which we can review together to ensure you are getting what you need.
Accessing therapy can feel incredibly overwhelming. I offer free initial phone consultations for up to 20 minutes to help put you at ease, answer any questions you may have and ultimately see if we are the right fit for each other.
